Baskin-Robbins launches Candy Carnival as its May Flavour of the Month and Strawberries n’ Cream Cake

Toronto, April 30, 2024 – Pink may be the dominant colour at Baskin-Robbins, but this May, it’s red and blue that are on display. The brand that has built a reputation for flavour innovation has done it again with the launch of two new menu items – a very blue-infused Candy Carnival as its May Flavour of the Month and new cake, Strawberries n’ Cream Cake, that comes adorned with bright red strawberries. Candy Carnivalfeatures blue raspberry ice cream with a sweet cotton candy ribbon and cookie sandwiches swirled throughout.

“There’s no reason to be blue this month, except for maybe on your tongue,” says Natalie Joseph, spokesperson for Baskin-Robbins in Canada. “May is a season of new life and new beginnings – as well as new flavours. I’m also happy that we’re offering something fun and tasty that is sure to bring a smile to the special moms in our lives.”

Just in time for Mother’s Day, the new Strawberries n’ Cream Cake is adorned with rosettes and pieces of real strawberries and is finished with strawberry-whipped frosting.

“We launched non-dairy smoothies made with real fruit in April, specifically mango and strawberry,” explains Joseph. “We’re happy to add strawberries to our cake menu and look forward to creating new flavour combinations with fruits in the future. You can be sure more innovation is on the way.”

The launch of non-dairy smoothies made with real fruits, and now Strawberries n’ Cream Cake, represents the first time Baskin-Robbins has used real fruit pieces in its beverages and cakes in Canada.
