Baskin-Robbins Canada introduces new flavour, Summertime Lime, and first edible slime topping, Sour Berry Slime
TORONTO, June 2, 2021 – Baskin-Robbins Canada launches this June its first edible slime, Sour Berry Lime, available as a topping to add flavour and fun to any of the brand’s scoops or shakes. Easily malleable, ooey and gooey and yet refreshingly tasty, the edible slime has a sweet and slightly sour taste that has already received rave reviews from consumers.
“Summer is right around the corner and it’s time to play,” says Natalie Joseph, spokesperson for Baskin-Robbins Canada. “And why shouldn’t that include your food?”
The introduction of slime is part of a North America-wide Baskin-Robbins campaign entitled Slime Your Summer, which also includes the introduction of Summertime Lime as the brand’s Flavour of the Month for June. A lively and refreshing citrusy scoop, the new flavour swirls together a tangy lemon-lime slime ribbon with a bright green and white citrus ice cream resulting in a tart and candied flavour that is perfect for summer and just begging “to be slimed”.
“We just love new toppings, especially those that change things up and add layers of excitement to our menu,” continues Joseph. “I’ve slimed my shakes and favourite summertime flavours like Rainbow Sherbet and Wild ‘n Reckless Sherbet and the result is outstanding. It’s time to make slime a verb and to slime your next treat.”
Guests can slime any of their ice cream scoops or milkshakes for $0.99.
The new Summertime Lime flavour and Sour Berry Slime topping are available throughout June, while supplies last.
