Summer’s better with butter! Baskin-Robbins launches new cake batter and buttercream-flavoured ice cream, Surprise Party, and brings back popular Butter Tart
Baskin-Robbins Canada launches Surprise Party – a newly-created menu option featuring buttercream flavour and cake batter, available throughout June and July.
TORONTO, ONT., May 27, 2020 – Baskin-Robbins Canada adds, this summer, a new level of excitement and creativity with the launch of Surprise Party, its June Flavour of the Month.
Available June through July, the new flavour features rich buttercream paired with the sweetness of cake batter pieces to keep every bite a delicious surprise. It is great treat in the late spring and early summer heat.
“I can’t think of a better time to spoil one’s taste buds,” says Natalie Joseph, Baskin-Robbins representative. “We’ve all gone through so much this year. Baskin-Robbins set out some 75 years ago on a mission to bring joy to people’s lives, and that’s what this new flavour sets out to do and, we believe, achieves. Surprise Party reminds us to celebrate life every day, whether it’s someone’s birthday, a graduation, baby shower, anniversary or any ordinary summer day – everyone can use a little surprise party.”
The flavour is particularly apt to tantalize taste buds as part of a milkshake.
Along with this new treat, the classic flavour Butter Tart, originally introduced in August of 2019, is making a reappearance as a seasonal flavour. Sprinkled with sugared pie pieces and wrapped up in a brown sugar butter ribbon, the smooth this nostalgic flavour is sure to remind guests of sweet days in the sunshine.
“Butter Tart was so popular last year when it was first introduced to commemorate National Butter Tart day and just had to bring it back,” says Joseph. “The sweet and sa lty combination of butter tarts is a Canadian treasure and will be available just in time for Canada Day. It is sure to satisfy that sweet tooth, all summer long.”
