TORONTO, April 2, 2019 – Baskin-Robbins Canada, the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops, opened, March 23, its third location in Burlington, Ontario – its 101st in the country. Located at Headon Forest Shopping Centre, the opening is part of a sustained expansion program with the recent signing of 18 new store development agreements with six new and existing franchise groups.

The location features the brand’s complete menu including classic and seasonal ice cream flavours, sundaes, milkshakes, warm cookie ice cream sandwiches, polar pizzas, prepared and signature customizable cakes as well as the new Iced Cappuccino Blast and other specialty beverages.

“There’s now more than 101 reasons to celebrate with Baskin-Robbins in Canada,” says Natalie Joseph, representative for Baskin-Robbins in Canada. “The Burlington community has been very warm and welcoming to us and we’re delighted to grow our investment in this growing community.”

The new location is operated by Vivek Patel, an experienced franchise operator who owns and operates a Baskin-Robbins location in Mississauga’s Dixie Mall and is on track to open three additional locations in Burlington. He joined the Baskin-Robbins Canada family of franchisees in 2017.

“I can’t wait to continue our expansion in this wonderful market,” says Patel. “There’s definitely a lot of potential to continue to spread the joy of ice cream to others. I look forward to continuing to serve the community well into the future through these new sites.”

An official grand opening celebration is in the works for this summer.
