Baskin-Robbins Canada brews growth, new customers through frozen beverage category
New this summer, Iced Tea Freeze frozen drinks – Blackberry Hibiscus and Mango Mania – meet strong demand and feedback from Canadians
TORONTO, August, 2021– Baskin-Robbins Canada continues its expansion into the frozen beverage market with the introduction of Iced Tea Freeze. A combination of fresh ice cream, sorbet and unsweetened black iced tea, Baskin-Robbins’ newest innovation comes in two refreshing and fruity flavours – Blackberry Hibiscus and Mango Mania.
“Summer is the perfect time to try new recipes and expand our lineup,” says Natalie Joseph, spokesperson for Baskin-Robbins Canada. “And we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. “And we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The launch of Iced Tea Freeze as a seasonal frozen beverage option may be the catalyst for more innovative frozen beverages to come.”
One of the key ingredients to the new Iced Tea Freeze offering is the choice of scoop between Baskin-Robbins’ Blackberry Hibiscus or Mango Mania flavours. A returning fan-favourite, Blackberry Hibiscus is the brand’s first flavour to ever mix ice cream and sorbet in the same tub. Mango Mania is also a unique blend of ice cream and sorbet that combines creamy and refreshing mango ice cream swirled with a rich and tangy mango sorbet.
The new options continue Baskin-Robbins’ expansion into the frozen beverage category, a market that has continued to brew solid results for the brand, and happy customers. Baskin-Robbins’s frozen beverage offering includes milkshakes, smoothies, and the popular Cappuccino Blast lineup.
“Our guests are asking for new menu choices that are slightly less indulgent but that still feature signature taste and sweetness,” says Joseph. “I think we’ve found the fine balance here between a tea and full-flavoured dessert. It’s sure to give our guests an extra boost, light and sweet at the same time, during the last hot days of summer.”
Throughout the pandemic, Baskin-Robbins Canada’s 105 shops have continued to serve their guests, often times through delivery and takeout, according to provincial COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Please refer to the company’s store locator for hours of operation and service/delivery options in your community.
The delicious new beverage is available in two flavours, Blackberry Hibiscus and Mango Mania.
